Welcome to COMPUTER SERVICES (Thrapston)
I have been repairing computers for many years. What started as a hobby repairing computers for friends and family, quickly developed into becoming certified and developed into a small business. I started because I was shocked by larger companies charging £40.00 per hour for repairs or £70.00 for a “health check”. Often I then found the machine was either in a worse state than when it went in, or the work had not been done correctly. So I decided to start repairing computers. This became a passion of mine so the next step of becoming “certified” was a natural progression. It doesn't stop there though. Computers are changing all the time, with new technology and operating systems. So I constantly look to improve myself and obtain new qualifications or upgrade the ones I already have.
My company looks after computers in homes and small to medium businesses, offering all our services seven days a week, including evenings at times to suit you. I provide a service as a call out or as an IT Manager, paid for a set amount of hours each month.
My philosophy is one of offering good honest advice, excellent customer service and
quality guaranteed repairs, while keeping my prices as low as possible -

Why Not “Do It Yourself”?
Does the thought of opening a computer case fill you with dread? What are all those wires? Might you damage any of the components? What goes where?
If these are the thoughts that go through your mind then you need a qualified, professional service.
The truth is that you can cause damage to components without even knowing it by “doing it yourself”. Electro Static Discharge (ESD) or “static electricity” is very serious to computer components. When you get a static shock you are feeling about 3000 volts. A computer can be damaged with as little as 30 volts.
Before you get to the replacement stage you need to diagnose what needs replacing. Looking at the picture above, where do you start? The answer is with me. As a qualified computer engineer and an Authorised Service Centre with CompTIA, I understand the problems that can occur and know how to prevent them. With many years experience repairing and diagnosing computer faults and by using the latest diagnostic equipment, I make the time spent diagnosing and repairing as quick as possible, meaning you are without your computer for as little time as possible.
This means that even if you take off the cover to blow the dust away you could cause damage to the internal components, or at best weaken them, causing problems in the future. This is just one of the many problems that can occur with replacing components.
